Chaz and Dona Cabela
President and Vice President

As Proprietors, Chaz and Dona Cabela bring to Advanced Recovery Center a passion for recovery and a desire to help those struggling with the process, no matter what their individual challenges are. Being a family in recovery, they are dedicated to giving back to the community by providing the highest quality of treatment and services at the extended care level, in order to optimize the individual's success in treatment.
Administrative Staff
Jerry Rudd
Administrator

After 8 years with Advanced Recovery Center, Mr. Rudd has assumed the role of Administrator. He has over 15 years of experience working in mental health and substance abuse. In addition to his background in program management, he has extensive experience in intake/admissions, a wide range of clinical application, continuing care implementation and referral development. His objective is to ensure that patients, families and referral sources have an optimal experience with all aspects of the ARC program.
Carey Mayo
Alumni Director

Ms. Mayo has a background in office management, and has previously served as a housing coordinator at ARC. Carey is involved in the local recovering community, and is an alumnus of Advanced Recovery Center. Her duties include overseeing the ARC Alumni Association, the quarterly newsletter, patient outcome monitoring, and reporting patient statistics.
Clinical Staff
Aldo Morales, M.D
Medical Director

Dr. Morales obtained his undergraduate degree in 1979 from Rutgers College of Pharmacy. He obtained his M.D. degree in 1983 at Ross University. He completed a four-year residency in Psychiatry at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey–Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. With Board Certification in both Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry, Dr. Morales provides the requisite expertise in the assessment and management of Dual Diagnosis conditions.
Caryl A. Keating, PsyD
Clinical Psychology Resident

In conjunction with the ARC treatment team, Dr. Keating provides psychological services to address the individual needs of our patients as they work through complex issues related to trauma and chemical dependency. Dr. Keating has over 15 years of experience in the field of mental health in research, direct patient care, intensive psychotherapy, extended treatment,clinical supervision, and administration. In addition, as a consultant, teacher, and lecturer, she has provided services internationally to non-profit organizations and universities.
Judith Gulko, PhD
Clinical psychologist

In addition to providing psychological services to our patients working through issues related to trauma and chemical dependency, Dr. Gulko has expertise in the complex processes involved with eating disorder recovery. Dr. Gulko's career as a psychologist includes clinical private practice with a specialty in eating disorders Director of clinical supervision in a facility for the treatment of eating disorders, group, family and individual psychotherapy, and teaching. As part of her role at ARC she provides individual therapy to patients attempting to maintaintheir recovery from eating disorders and food issues.
Henry Wester, CAC
Relapse Prevention and Family Counselor

Mr. Wester has been a vital member of the treatment team since the beginning of ARC. He has over 25 years of experience, ranging from inpatient case management to the development of intensive outpatient programs. Mr. Wester is a Certifed Addictions Professional, and is a candidate for the Master's Degree in Christian Counseling, as well as licensure in Christian Counseling. He brings a wealth of knowledge through work focusing on dually diagnosed young adult populations.
Madelyn Bryson, LCSW
Clinical Director and Trauma Specialist

Ms. Bryson has extensive training and education in women's issues and the psychology of women. Although she is extremely skilled in treating both men and women, her focus is on women in addiction. As a specialist in PTSD, Ms. Bryson has had advanced training in DBT and EMDR. She has also developed and implemented comprehensive trauma resolution programs for various facilities. She is an expert on Dually Diagnosed patients with over 15 years experience.

  Tamara Baldwin-Soanes, LMT
Massage Therapist

Ms. Baldwin-Soanes trained in massage at the Academy of Healing Arts, as well as completing additional certification in Costa Rica. She is certified in Medical Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, and is a Reiki Master. Her services are available to our patients as an adjunct to the healing process at ARC.
  Kuala Labrador, RD, LD/N
Nutritionist

Ms. Labrador is a Registered Dietician with the American Dietetic Association, and a Licensed Dietician/Nutritionist with the State of Florida. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Florida International University, and has served as a consultant for convalescent centers, addiction treatment centers, health clubs, and the Palm Beach County Department of Health, as well as private practice. Kuala has extensive experience in individual and group counseling, addressing such issues as allergies, digestive disorders, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, maternal nutrition, weight control, eating disorders, and general nutrition and wellness.
